Famous above all for the Cascate del Mulino waterfalls and the Terme di Saturnia thermal wellness centre.

The village of Saturnia deserves to be visited. Its little square is welcoming in all seasons. In summer it is the perfect place to enjoy an excellent ice cream.

The most important monuments are the church of Santa Maria Maddalena and the Aldobrandesca fortress, transformed at the beginning of the 1900s by the Ciacci family into the castle we see today. The remains of the first city walls, built by the Romans, are still visible. Unfortunately, of the four original gates, the only gate left standing is the southern Porta Romana, with stone cladding and a round arch opening, right at the crossing point of the ancient Via Clodia. It is also still possible to admire what remains of the Porta Fiorentina and the Porta di Fonte Buia.
